Themeworld 1982-3
This was exhibited San Francisco 1982, New York 1983.
Two multi media exhibits using video live performers and products. A blue
print for current museum exhibits. The San Francisco event was developed
with Michael Cotton and Prairie Prince of the media satirizing ?Tubes?,
others involved were comedienne Jane Doornacker , as Marge the Snackologist.
?Talking Chairs? which had two armchairs with speakers built
into each chair with a taped a conversation synced between two people,
so by sitting in the chairs it was a form of eavesdropping on a conversation.
The model was a 16 ft dais of a Z scale 280 acre theme park replete with
hotels on the periphery. The time zones were set out like the hours on
a clock so the vacationers could travel through time themed zones that
start at the beginning of time through to the end of time.
Featuring the Atrocity Pavilion (now see the Holocaust museum), Acid
Rain Forests, and Plastic Wrapped World. The second show at Braathen Gallozzi
in New York had Joey Arias performing with Strange Party. And Video of
the Fool?s Paradise installation edited from the footage shot at
Braathen gallozzi gallery in 1981
