|Body Painted Jeans Ad 1979.|
Richard Callahan a clothing designer commissioned the artist to develop
an ad. for GQ and Interview. The Artist did trompe loel jeans (body painted) in keeping with the new tight look jeans that were about to become popular.
Originality and understatement of the presentation stood out from the
cluttery ads and editorials that were standard fare at the time.
The artist, Callahan, Robert Farber the photographer and the artist?s
wife Roanne were up at the crack of dawn to shoot this piece on the ?Goldfinger?
beach in Jamaica.
